New Delhi, Nov 15 (NationPress) Ayodhya is gearing up for a momentous religious celebration as the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has declared that the auspicious day commemorating Lord Ram's wedding—Tuesday, November 25, 2025—will feature the ceremonial flag hoisting atop the Ram Temple's shikhara.
The trust's General Secretary, Champat Rai, has confirmed the details, highlighting the event's cultural and spiritual significance.
“On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, we will hold the flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on the traditional sacred day of Lord Ram’s wedding. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to grace the occasion...” he stated.
Rai also assured that the administration is well-prepared to handle the large crowd anticipated during the festivities and clarified the schedule for visiting dignitaries.
“The VIPs, including the Prime Minister, are expected to leave Ayodhya district around 2 PM or perhaps a bit earlier. We are mindful of the festival's importance and the busy timeline, ensuring public convenience,” he remarked.
This year's celebrations promise to be even more spectacular. All affiliated temples dedicated to Lord Mahadev, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Suryadev, Maa Bhagwati, Maa Annapurna, and Sheshavatar will be lavishly adorned alongside the main Ram Temple. Preparations have been in motion for weeks to guarantee a grand and spiritually uplifting experience.
Rituals will be performed by 108 Acharyas from Ayodhya, Kashi, and South India, guided by esteemed Kashi scholar Ganeshwar Shastri. The ceremony will showcase the hoisting of a saffron flag emblazoned with the symbol of the Sun, which represents eternal energy, divine radiance, virtue, and enlightenment—virtues associated with Lord Ram.
Earlier on Monday, Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, briefed the press on the ongoing preparations. “Our talks and plans are centered around the Prime Minister's program. We are ensuring proper arrangements for his visit to inspect the temple and ongoing construction. The final plan will be based on recommendations from the Prime Minister's Office,” he explained.
Mishra noted substantial progress in construction. “Most of the structural work is finished. We are now focused on beautifying the temple grounds, including landscaping,” he added, mentioning that the main temple and six subsidiary shrines are already complete.
Regarding the technical aspects of the upcoming flag hoisting, Mishra stated that specialists are making sure everything runs without a hitch. “We aim to hoist the flag at the temple's apex, and technical requirements are currently being evaluated. Experts from the Defence Ministry, proficient in such operations, are assisting to ensure the ceremony on November 25 is flawless,” he said.
