Shirdi, Jan 18 (NationPress) NCP state president Sunil Tatkare urged party members on Saturday to remain humble and work relentlessly, particularly following the party's recent success in the Assembly elections.

Tatkare emphasized that the organization must forge a new path and provide innovative direction for its ideology and strategies moving forward. He stressed the importance of establishing a robust party presence by 2047 and called for unity under Ajit Pawar's leadership.

His remarks came during a two-day Navsankalp Shibir held in Shirdi. He also encouraged the cadres to prepare for the forthcoming local and civic elections to maintain the party's winning momentum.

The meeting commenced with the launch of a membership drive led by NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with National Working President and MP Praful Patel and Tatkare. The initiative aimed to enroll ten primary and one active member.

On the first day of the ‘Navsankalp’ camp, discussions took place on ‘The Current Political Landscape of the State and Future Insights,’ featuring contributions from senior journalist Sandeep Chavan, former minister Subodh Mohite, and veteran actor Sayaji Shinde.

A session addressing ‘Growing Urbanization and Party-Building Challenges’ included insights from Najeeb Mulla and Rajlaxmi Bhosale. Women’s state president Rupali Chakankar, youth state president Suraj Chavan, and district leaders also shared their perspectives.

Furthermore, women and child welfare minister Aditi Tatkare discussed the NCP’s role in women’s empowerment, while former minister Nawab Malik focused on the upcoming local body elections and party development.

Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate elaborated on agricultural policy, and tribal leader Narahari Zirwal highlighted the importance of tribal communities in the state's progress.

Notably, former minister Chhagan Bhujbal attended the Shibir briefly before departing for Mumbai. Bhujbal expressed dissatisfaction regarding his exclusion from the cabinet but attended at the request of working president Praful Patel and Tatkare.

However, NCP minister Dhananjay Munde was notably absent, particularly amid growing calls for his resignation due to his close associate Walmik Karad’s connections to the violent murder of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh from Beed district.
