Shirdi, Jan 18 (NationPress) NCP state president Sunil Tatkare urged party members on Saturday to remain humble and work tirelessly, particularly following their success in the recent Assembly elections.

During his address at the party’s two-day Navsankalp Shibir in Shirdi, Tatkare encouraged the members to prepare for the upcoming local and civic body elections to maintain the party's momentum of victories.

The meeting commenced with a membership drive launched by NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with National Working President and MP Praful Patel and Tatkare, aiming to register ten primary and one active member.

On the first day of the Navsankalp camp, sessions addressed themes like ‘The Current Political Scenario of the State and Insights into its Future,’ featuring contributions from senior journalist Sandeep Chavan, former minister Subodh Mohite, and renowned actor Sayaji Shinde.

Another session focused on ‘Rising Urbanisation and Challenges in Party-Building,’ led by Najeeb Mulla and Rajlaxmi Bhosale. Women’s state president Rupali Chakankar, youth state president Suraj Chavan, and district leaders also shared their insights.

Moreover, women and child welfare minister Aditi Tatkare discussed NCP’s role in Women’s Empowerment, while former minister Nawab Malik spoke about the upcoming Local Body Elections and party strengthening.

Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate elaborated on agriculture policies, and tribal leader and party minister Narahari Zirwal discussed the significance of tribal communities in the state’s development.

In attendance was also party leader and former minister Chhagan Bhujbal, who left for Mumbai shortly after, expressing discontent over his exclusion from the cabinet. He attended at the behest of working president Praful Patel and Tatkare.

Notably absent was NCP minister Dhananjay Munde, amidst growing calls for his resignation tied to his associate Walmik Karad’s connections to the violent death of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh from Beed district.
