Jaipur, March 17 (NationPress) The final rites of Arvind Singh Mewar, a significant figure in the Mewar royal lineage and a descendant of Maharana Pratap, will take place on Monday. The procession will begin at Shambhu Niwas within the City Palace and will traverse through Badi Pol, Jagdish Chowk, Ghantaghar, Bada Bazar, and Delhi Gate, culminating at Mahasatiya for the final rites.
In the early hours, around 7:30 a.m., the body was taken from Shambhu Niwas for public viewing. A large crowd gathered at City Palace Chowk to pay their last respects. His son, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, carried the bier alongside his son, Haritraj Singh Mewar. Former cricket player Ajay Jadeja also came to express his condolences.
Arvind Singh Mewar, who had been in poor health for an extended period, passed away on Sunday (March 16). He had been living at Shambhu Niwas under medical care. His father was Bhagwat Singh Mewar, and his mother was Sushila Kumari Mewar. His elder brother, Mahendra Singh Mewar, passed away on November 10 of the previous year.
