Jaipur, April 2 (NationPress) The ceremonial 'Gaddi Utsav' for Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a member of the prestigious Mewar royal lineage in Rajasthan, is taking place on Wednesday.
This occasion is being held in honor of his late father, Arvind Singh Mewar.
The rituals commenced with a Hawan-Pujan at approximately 9:30 a.m. within the City Palace grounds. Attired in white, guests gathered in the Rai Courtyard of Nau Chowki Mahal in the City Palace. The mantra recitation was led by Vice Chancellor Dr. Vagish Kumar Goswami.
During the ceremony, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar was also seen in white attire. His son, Haritraj Singh Mewar, sought blessings from the saints present. Additionally, Kanak Vardhan Singh, the Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha and father-in-law to Lakshyaraj, was present at the Udaipur City Palace for this significant event.
Other royal customs include the horse worship ceremony, scheduled for 3 p.m., followed by a visit to Shri Eklingnathji in Kailashpuri at 4:20 p.m.
The Hathipol Dwar will be venerated at 7 p.m., and the Rangpaltai Dastur ritual of Bhaipa and Sardars will take place at 8:15 p.m.
