Chandigarh, June 15 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Sunday that the upcoming International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav will take place in collaboration with Britain.
“Each year, we host the International Gita Jayanti events in partnership with various nations. This celebration attracts millions of devotees who flock to the revered Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra annually,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister addressed the media following a state-level Yoga marathon conducted at Brahma Sarovar, organized alongside the Sports Department, AYUSH Department, and the local administration.
Regarding political changes in nearby Punjab, he stated, “Citizens, once disenchanted with the Congress, now feel let down by the Aam Aadmi Party as well. Both parties have merely made hollow promises while serving their own agendas. The public is ready for a transformation and wishes for the lotus to bloom in Punjab too.”
In response to inquiries, he noted that the residents of the state are conscious of the law and order situation during the Congress administration. “Currently, law and order is consistently improving in the state. Whenever there is a breach, the police carry out investigations and enforce strict measures against the offenders.” He also expressed his sorrow over the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad and extended prayers for the families affected by the tragedy.
“No one can predict when an accident may occur. This incident has tragically claimed the life of a local resident, which is heart-wrenching. During such times, the government stands ready to support the affected families in every possible way.” Notable attendees included former state minister Subhash Sudha, Sanjeev Verma (Director General of the Sports Department), Jaideep Arya (Chairman of Yog Aayog), and Kanwaljit Kaur (Zila Parishad Chairman).
