Singapore city, Nov 13 (NationPress) A number of global leaders have expressed their outrage at the horrific terror attack that took place near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
The tragedy unfolded on Monday evening when a car registered in Haryana detonated near Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, leading to several deaths and wounding more than 20 individuals.
The Indian Union Cabinet labeled the incident as a terrorist act, stating in a resolution, “The nation has endured a despicable terror event, executed by anti-national entities, via a car explosion.”
“The cabinet mandates that the inquiry into this incident be conducted with the highest level of urgency and professionalism so that the culprits, their accomplices, and their financiers are swiftly identified and brought to justice,” the resolution further elaborated.
Expressing condemnation of the act, Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan conveyed solidarity with India.
“Singapore unequivocally condemns the terror incident involving a car explosion close to New Delhi’s Red Fort on 10 Nov. Our deepest condolences go to the victims' families. Wishing a speedy recovery for those injured. EAM S. Jaishankar – Singapore stands with India during this challenging period,” Balakrishnan shared on X.
In response, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar expressed gratitude on X, stating, “I appreciate your sentiments of solidarity, FM Vivian Balakrishnan.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs from South Korea, Cho Hyun, shared his condolences for the families impacted by this tragic incident.
“I am profoundly saddened by the news of the explosion in Delhi. On behalf of the Government and citizens of the Republic of Korea, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of India mourning their losses. I hope for a swift recovery for the injured and a rapid return to normalcy,” Hyun posted on X.
Furthermore, Irish Ambassador to India, Kevin Kelly, also expressed support for India, denouncing terrorism in all its manifestations.
“My deepest condolences to the victims and wishes for a rapid recovery for those hurt in the Delhi terror attacks. Terrorism has no place in a civilized society. We strongly reject all forms of terrorism and stand united with the Indian populace,” Kelly stated on X.
