New Delhi, April 11 (NationPress) The Government has established a specialized ‘Global Tariff and Trade Helpdesk’ aimed at supporting the nation’s exporters and importers as they confront new trade challenges stemming from the tariff increases declared by the United States.
The Department of Commerce and DGFT are closely monitoring changes in global trade, especially regarding tariff adjustments, surges in imports, and challenges related to exports, as stated in an official announcement made on Friday.
With the current trade dynamics continually shifting and the implementation of various tariff and counter-tariff strategies, there could be not only fresh export possibilities but also increased import pressures from certain nations or product categories, the statement elaborated.
Exporters and importers facing such changes are encouraged to provide feedback and recommend possible support measures.
The ‘Global Tariff and Trade Helpdesk’ will address issues related to Import and Export Challenges, Import Surges or Dumping, EXIM Clearance, Logistics or Supply Chain Challenges, Financial or Banking Issues, Regulatory or Compliance Issues, and Other Issues or Suggestions.
This help desk will also gather and compile trade-related concerns from other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of the Central and State Governments, coordinating efforts to seek their assistance and provide potential solutions.
The Export-Import community is invited to submit information via the DGFT website and report issues requiring support by following these steps:
1. Visit the DGFT Website (https://dgft.gov.in) --> Services --> DGFT Helpdesk Service
2. Click on ‘Create New Request’ and select the Category as ‘Global Tariff and Trade Issues’

Users can track the status of resolutions and feedback using the status tracker available under DGFT Helpdesk Services.

Trade stakeholders are urged to effectively utilize these support services, the statement concluded.
