Pawar directed the administration to ensure the evacuation of citizens affected by the floods to safer locations, providing them with essential supplies such as food, water, electricity, and medication.

During his visit to several villages in the Solapur and Dharshiv districts, which were severely impacted by the flooding, Dy CM Pawar reported extensive damage to crops including urad, maize, soybean, and tur.

Additionally, many homes have suffered damage, and livestock losses have been reported due to the flooding.

He emphasized the need for the administration to complete assessments of all affected farms and properties swiftly.

“Today, I personally visited the fields to evaluate the crop situation and engaged with farmers to understand their challenges and assess the extent of damage,” he stated.

“I have instructed that meticulous plans be crafted and that necessary measures be implemented without delay to ensure that immediate assistance reaches the farmers in flood-affected regions. Our government stands resolutely with our farmer community,” he added.

Pawar encouraged farmers to remain hopeful, assuring them that the government is committed to providing comprehensive support. “I have instructed the administration to expedite relief efforts and take immediate action for compensation. I have made it clear that there should be no laxity in conducting relief and rescue operations,” he emphasized.

“Strategies are in place to address the flood situation arising from excessive rainfall and to restore normalcy in affected villages. Promptly addressing farmers' challenges is a top priority for the administration. I guarantee that no farmer will be left in distress,” he stated.

Ajit Pawar indicated that to assist farmers in their recovery, the government has allocated Rs 1,339.49 crore.

“In a recent Cabinet meeting, approval was given to disburse Rs 1,339.49 crore to support farmers in overcoming losses to crops and livestock due to heavy rainfall and flooding experienced in various districts from June to August 2025.

“In cases where agricultural crops are devastated by natural disasters such as heavy rainfall, floods, and cyclones, assistance is provided to farmers from the State Disaster Response Fund through grants. Besides the 12 natural disasters identified by the Central Government, the State Government has established a policy to assist citizens affected by local disasters like unseasonal rainfall, heavy downpours, lightning strikes, sea surges, and fires,” he elaborated.

“A total of Rs 565 crore will be allocated for the Amravati division, Rs 721 crore for the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division, with the remaining funds allocated to other divisions. The funds will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through the DBT portal. Farmers who incurred losses from this month's heavy rainfall will also receive immediate assistance following the assessment of their crop damages,” assured Dy CM Pawar.

In addition, Ajit Pawar announced that all NCP ministers, MPs, and state Assembly and Council Legislators have pledged to donate one month's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. “In these trying times, the NCP is committed to uniting and providing a new lease of life to our affected brothers and sisters in Maharashtra,” he declared.

“The sorrow stemming from the loss of homes, livelihoods, and personal belongings to the floods is immense. Yet, during this challenging period, our Mahayuti government and all NCP workers are striving diligently to deliver relief. In this time of crisis, my farmers are not alone. The government stands firmly beside them. The torrential rains have caused significant damage to lives, homes, livestock, agricultural land, and kharif and horticultural crops in many districts of Maharashtra. This situation is truly heartbreaking,” he concluded.
