Patna, March 16 (NationPress) This year, the occasion of Ram Navami, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama, is set to be a spectacular event in Patna. The announcement was made by BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday.

Preparations have significantly ramped up by the Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobhayatra Abhinandan Samiti in anticipation of the grand procession on March 27.

During a press briefing, Nitin Nabin, who also serves as the committee’s convener, along with committee president Jagjivan Singh Bablu and other members, provided insights into the forthcoming festivities.

Nabin highlighted that Ram Navami holds immense importance in the Sanatan tradition, symbolizing the divine incarnation of Lord Rama. As in previous years, Patna will host a grand celebration for this significant day.

As per the organizers, the procession will feature 51 vibrant tableaux representing various areas of Patna. These floats will be showcased by Puja Samitis from neighborhoods including Digha, Transport Nagar, Sipara, and Gai Ghat.

Moreover, 52 majestic processions will commence from different parts of the city on Ram Navami, enveloping Patna in a spirit of devotion. The tableaux will illustrate notable episodes from the life and teachings of Lord Rama.

Organizers anticipate a substantial participation of women in the celebrations. Ram Dhwaj flags are being installed at key intersections throughout the city, with residents encouraged to display them at their homes as well.

The committee aims to distribute approximately 200,000 Mahavir Dhwaj flags and 100,000 Vikram Samvat calendars to the public. Puja committees have also been invited to raise the Shri Ram Dhwaj in nearby slum areas and Dalit communities to promote greater engagement.

To elevate the grandeur of the event, decorative arches (Toran Dwar) and intricate lighting arrangements will be set up along Patna's main roads. Various social organizations will establish stalls to provide drinking water and refreshments to devotees along the route of the procession.

Artists from across the nation are slated to perform during the celebrations. The primary venue at Dak Bungalow Chowk, also known as Shri Ram Chowk, will showcase performances by a band from Mumbai, a dance group from Jharkhand, a Ganga Aarti team from Varanasi, and elaborate lighting from Chandannagar.

The main stage will prominently feature large images of Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman.

The event is expected to attract numerous dignitaries, including Syed Ata Hasnain, Bihar's Governor, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi, ministers, MPs, MLAs, representatives from social organizations, and influential members of the community.

When queried about the NDA's performance in the ongoing Rajya Sabha elections, Nitin Nabin refrained from making specific comments and concluded his remarks with the slogan, “Jai Shri Ram”.
