Key Takeaways
Patna, March 27 (NationPress) A magnificent and colorful celebration is currently taking place in Patna, marking the festival of Ram Navami, as grand processions and a deep sense of devotion sweep through the city.
Central to the festivities, Dak Bungalow Crossing, also referred to as Shri Ram Chowk, has transformed into the focal point where 52 stunning tableaux from various Puja committees are converging.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alongside Nishant Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and Sanjay Saraogi, took center stage at the main dais.
For the first time as the BJP’s National President, Nitin Nabin enthusiastically welcomed the arriving tableaux and distinguished guests.
The Chief Minister also honored the participating groups, enhancing the event's grandeur.
The turnout is impressive, with roughly 5 to 7 lakh devotees flocking to the venue.
Despite the earlier sweltering heat, a refreshing change in weather—characterized by cool breezes and a light drizzle—provided much-needed relief, encouraging even more attendees.
Adding star power to the event, celebrated actor and MP Arun Govil, known for his iconic role as Lord Ram in the classic TV series Ramayan, attended the celebration.
He was joined by BJP MP and singer Manoj Tiwari.
Security and crowd control measures have been extensive, featuring around 1,500 police officers, 500 CCTV cameras, and 10 drones overseeing the area.
The drones are also creatively utilized to shower flower petals over the crowd, further enriching the festive ambiance.
The event is further enhanced by a variety of cultural performances, including saints from Ayodhya, musical ensembles from South India, Banaras’ Damru teams, Ganga Aarti performers, Mumbai bands, and dance groups from Jharkhand.
Impressive 20–25-foot statues of Lord Ram, Lord Shiva, and Lord Hanuman have been erected, serving as major attractions.
With bright LED lighting, dazzling laser effects, and captivating digital projections illuminating the area, this year’s Ram Navami celebration in Patna is being celebrated as historic and record-breaking—both in scale and spirit.
