New Delhi, April 6 (NationPress) The celebration of Ram Navami is taking place today with great enthusiasm throughout the nation. This festival commemorates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, and coincides with the concluding day of Chaitra Navratri.

Countless devotees are flocking to various temples nationwide. Long lines of worshippers have been observed outside temples since early morning.

A major celebration is happening at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, where devotees from around the globe have gathered to observe this significant day.

Special arrangements have been organized by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra to facilitate a smooth 'darshan' experience for the worshippers.

The Ram Temple is adorned with flowers, and the deity will receive a special offering of 56 bhogi. Reports indicate that a unique Surya Tilak will be placed on Ramlala’s forehead at noon for a duration of approximately four minutes, executed by a specialized team. For the first time, water from the Saryu River will be dispersed to the devotees via a drone. A Deepotsav will also take place in the evening.

Earlier today, President Droupadi Murmu extended her warm wishes to the citizens on the occasion of Ram Navami.

In her address, she encouraged everyone to pledge to collaborate towards building a developed India.

In a post on X, the President stated, "Warm congratulations and best wishes to all citizens on this holy occasion of Ram Navami. This festival embodies the essence of religion, justice, and duty. Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram has set high standards of sacrifice, commitment, harmony, and bravery for humanity. His vision of good governance, known as Ram Rajya, is considered exemplary. On this auspicious day, I hope that all citizens commit to working together for a developed India."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while sending greetings on this occasion, prayed for a robust and prosperous India.

PM Modi shared on his X account (in Hindi, loosely translated), "Many best wishes to all citizens on Ram Navami. May this sacred occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram inspire new consciousness and enthusiasm in your lives, continuously fueling the resolve for a strong, prosperous, and capable India. Jai Shri Ram!"

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta offered her prayers at the Kalkaji Temple and afterwards expressed that, as it is Ram Navami and the final day of Navratri, she sought blessings from the Mother. "I prayed for the strength to pave the way for Delhi's progress... Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, development has begun to flow in Delhi..." she remarked.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the state's residents on the occasion of Ram Navami, highlighting that Lord Ram symbolizes India's 'Unity in Diversity.'

In a post shared on X, CM Yogi described Ram as "the ideal of humanity, the finest expression of religion, our beloved dignity Purushottam Lord Shri Ram."

He further stated, "Ram embodies the faith, dignity, and philosophy of India. Ram represents the essence of India's 'Unity in Diversity.' May the grace of Lord Rama, the center of faith for the people, bless the universe. I pray for everyone’s wellbeing.
