This announcement comes in anticipation of a significant influx of devotees expected to visit temples during this period.
In preparation, extensive security measures are being implemented in Ayodhya for the Ram Navami celebrations. District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde, along with senior police officials, conducted inspections of critical locations to finalize security, traffic control, and emergency protocols for the event.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover informed the media, stating, "Since the onset of the Chaitra Navratri festival, local and outstation police forces have been stationed in Ayodhya. The number of devotees visiting the temples has been increasing daily."
He added, "Today, we convened a meeting with Commissioner Rajesh Kumar, DM Nikhil Tikaram Funde, DIG Somen Barma, and other officials to review the security arrangements for the Ram Navami event on March 27."
Regarding security preparations, he noted, "The traffic management plan has been activated, and we have also addressed standard operating procedures for any emergencies. We are currently inspecting sacred sites, including the ghats and Ram Ki Paidi, to ensure the safety of both locals and visitors while providing necessary facilities for them."
Senior police official Praveen Kumar mentioned to IANS, "We are focused on thorough briefings and rehearsals for the celebrations on March 27, as we anticipate a large turnout of people."
Commissioner Rajesh Kumar reiterated that measures are being taken to handle the expected surge of devotees. He elaborated, "The city has been organized into sectors, with prominent sites like Ram Temple and Hanuman Garhi Temple, along with the ghats, expected to see high numbers of visitors. Two sectors have been designated for traffic management, and we have made various arrangements. A final meeting with all relevant departments will be held shortly."
