Gandhinagar, Oct 22 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, conveyed warm wishes to all the residents of Gujarat on the inaugural day of Vikram Samvat 2082, the Hindu calendar that signifies the commencement of the New Year in the Indian subcontinent.
He expressed optimism that the upcoming year would usher in prosperity for Gujarat and elevate the state to new levels of advancement.
On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister encouraged citizens to adopt the principles of ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, actively participating in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
Additionally, he visited the official residence of Governor Acharya Devvratji to extend his heartfelt New Year greetings.
To mark the commencement of the Hindu New Year, CM Bhupendra Patel paid a visit to the Bhadrakali Mata Temple located near Lal Darwaja in Ahmedabad, offering prayers to Goddess Bhadrakali for the joy and prosperity of the people.
The Chief Minister’s Office shared images of his temple visit on X, stating, “Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel offered prayers at the Bhadra Kali Temple in Ahmedabad at the start of Vikram Samvat 2082, seeking continuous development for the state and overall well-being of its citizens. On this occasion, he received greetings from local residents and conveyed his New Year wishes.”
CM Patel also conveyed New Year greetings to citizens, senior police officials, and their families.
He extended his New Year wishes to prominent citizens at the Annexe Circuit House in Shahibaug.
In attendance were State President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister of State for Urban Development and Urban Housing Smt. Darshna Vaghela, Member of Parliament Shri Dinesh Makwana, Mayor of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Smt. Pratibha Jain, local MLAs, leaders, and a large number of citizens.
