During this altercation, the assailant opened fire, resulting in injuries to Sonu Singh. Following the incident, the perpetrator managed to flee the scene.
Authorities quickly arrived and transported the injured individual to a medical facility. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu visited the site and announced the formation of special teams to apprehend the shooter.
Sonu Singh is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Secunderabad.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, along with Telangana BJP President Ramchander Rao and MP Eatala Rajender, visited the hospital to inquire about his health and medical care.

“These communal assaults indicate a serious breakdown of law and order in the state. I urge the government to promptly arrest and severely punish the offenders. If the government cannot guarantee the safety of Hindus, it will lose its moral authority to govern,” Ramchander Rao asserted in a post on ‘X’.
