Kutch, Nov 6 (NationPress) Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi made a significant visit to Punarajpar village in Lakhpat taluka, which is the first Indian settlement along the India-Pakistan border. This visit is part of a comprehensive initiative to evaluate social, economic, and infrastructural conditions in the border areas of Gujarat.

This visit signifies the start of a larger effort where the state government, in collaboration with 30 senior IPS officers, will compile a detailed report addressing nearly 40 critical areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, livelihoods, and social welfare.

Upon arrival, Sanghavi was warmly greeted with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and traditional Kutch attire, showcasing the villagers' strong sense of patriotism.

During his time there, he engaged with Sarpanches, local elders, youth, and women, taking the time to listen to their issues and learn about their traditions, lifestyles, and challenges.

He also shared a meal with the villagers, reinforcing the government's commitment to fostering strong connections with communities in remote locations.

In his address, Sanghavi praised the courage and patriotism of the residents, describing Punarajpar as “the gateway of Gujarat and the pride of the nation.” He remarked, “While the village may be small in population, its determination and spirit to protect the nation are vast.”

He further highlighted that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the infrastructure in Gujarat's border villages has significantly improved, with advancements in water supply, electricity, and healthcare—contrasting sharply with conditions found across the border in Pakistan.

Encouraging vigilance, the Deputy CM stated that every resident of the border area serves as a “sentinel of national security,” urging them to report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.

Local MLA Pradyumansinh Jadeja expressed gratitude for the Deputy CM's visit, reaffirming the government's ongoing commitment to developing border regions.

He also motivated local youth to consider enlisting in the Indian Armed Forces, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of empowering communities in frontier areas.

Accompanying the Deputy CM were senior officials, including Kutch Collector Anand Patel, District Development Officer Utsav Gautam, Range IG Chirag Kordia, and several members of district and taluka panchayats.
