PM-KISAN e-KYC deadline June 30: Gujarat farmers urged to verify now
Gujarat's Agriculture Department has urged all registered beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme to complete their mandatory annual e-KYC by 30 June 2026, or risk losing their scheduled benefit instalments. The directive follows a Central government notification making biometric or face-authentication-based e-KYC compulsory for every financial year, starting with 2026-27.
What the New Mandate Requires
According to a notification issued by the Office of the Director of Agriculture, Gujarat, all PM-KISAN beneficiaries must now complete e-KYC before the release of the first instalment each financial year. Officials confirmed that financial assistance will be disbursed only to farmers who have successfully cleared the authentication process. The verification cycle for 2026-27 is already underway.
Three Ways to Complete e-KYC
The department has outlined three methods through which eligible farmers can fulfil the requirement. First, farmers can opt for face authentication via the PM-KISAN mobile application with the help of village-level officials such as Gram Sevaks or Village Nodal Officers. Second, beneficiaries may visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or e-Gram centre to complete biometric authentication in person.
