Ahmedabad, Jan 11 (NationPress) The regional edition of Vibrant Gujarat, designed to actualize the vision of 'Viksit Gujarat se Viksit Bharat', commenced in Rajkot on Sunday with a spectacular inauguration at Marwadi University.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the five-day business exhibition and the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, joined by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and Chief Secretary M.K. Das.

After the inauguration, the Prime Minister explored the vast exhibition covering 18,000 square meters.

Within the 'Enterprise Excellence Pavilion', he examined displays from prominent companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Essar, Nayara Energy, and Jyoti CNC, recognizing their roles in propelling India's economic progress.

The Prime Minister commended Gujarat's growing industrial capability and its advancements in technology.

His interest was particularly piqued by the 'Ocean of Opportunities' pavilion, showcasing the potential of the Kutch–Saurashtra coastline.

Exhibits from the Gujarat Maritime Board regarding the Blue Economy and cutting-edge technologies presented by Reliance New Energy received notable attention.

This pavilion highlighted the harmony between industrial growth and environmental sustainability.

An MSME pavilion themed 'Har Ghar Swadeshi' presented local artisanship and rural craftsmanship.

The Prime Minister also visited the Swadeshi Haat and shared his insights in the book review section.

The exhibition, accessible to the public and students until January 15, aims to provide an educational experience and invigorate the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

Initiated in 2003 by then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Vibrant Gujarat has evolved into a flagship global summit for investors, re-establishing Gujarat as an economic leader and an attractive destination for investment.

What began as a recovery initiative post-earthquake has matured into one of India's most significant business platforms, drawing global leaders, Fortune 500 executives, and international investors.

Over the years, the summit has broadened its focus from merely promoting investments to embracing innovation, technology, sustainability, and international collaboration.

It has played a crucial role in driving Gujarat's manufacturing growth, infrastructure development, port-led initiatives, and MSME expansion while strengthening India’s economic diplomacy.
