Chandigarh, July 20 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Sunday that the citizens have established a "non-stop government" for the third consecutive time, pledging to leave no stone unturned in fostering development.
He encouraged the public not to be daunted by the opposition's "propaganda" and to counter it with concrete facts.
The Chief Minister addressed members of the Other Backward Class (OBC) community, who gathered to express gratitude for the welfare schemes introduced by the government.
CM Saini pointed out that previous administrations failed to fill OBC-reserved vacancies under the pretext of having "no suitable candidates". However, the current government has successfully appointed professors, doctors, and engineers from the OBC community, showcasing their capabilities.
He highlighted that the earlier issue stemmed from a lack of intent in previous regimes.
Upon receiving a traditional turban from the OBC community, the Chief Minister stated that he would honor the dignity of this recognition.
CM Saini mentioned that he regularly consults with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is dedicated to ensuring equitable development throughout the state.
He asserted that the state is experiencing a transformation in the landscape for education and employment, with recruitment now based on merit, and reforms are underway.
Additionally, he announced that for the forthcoming Common Entrance Test exams on July 26 and 27, the government will provide free transportation for candidates. Women candidates will be permitted to bring a family member for safety.
Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa emphasized that the OBC community comprises industrious individuals with diverse skills, who had previously faced discrimination. The government is implementing various welfare schemes to uplift underprivileged and backward groups.
Gangwa expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for increasing the income limit of the creamy layer from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, aligning with the Central government's policy.
Rajya Sabha MP Ramchander Jangra referred to the large gathering of OBC community members at the Chief Minister's residence as a "Mahakumbh", highlighting that it reflects their satisfaction with government policies.
