Chandigarh, Oct 6 (NationPress) During his current visit to Japan, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met with Tatsuya Maruyama, the Governor of Shimane Prefecture, on Monday to discuss potential avenues for technology exchange, innovation, and collaborative ventures between the two regions.

Following their discussions, the Chief Minister took part in the Haryana-Shimane Prefecture Roadshow in Tokyo.

In his address to a group of industrialists and investors, he emphasized the deep-rooted cultural and historical connections between India and Japan.

He remarked, "Our relationship with Japan is ancient, steeped in history and mutual values. Shimane Prefecture preserves its rich traditions, while Haryana stands as one of the oldest and most esteemed areas of Indian civilization. It is the sacred ground of Dharmakshetra, Kurukshetra, where Lord Krishna imparted the divine wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Haryana embodies the principles of duty, righteousness, and wisdom."

Furthermore, the Chief Minister stated that the connection between India and Japan represents a unique strategic and global partnership, built upon profound mutual trust, shared democratic principles, and a commitment to collaborative efforts.

He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent trip to Japan, noting that it has significantly fortified bilateral relations, with Japanese investors promising to invest 10 trillion yen in India over the next ten years.

Chief Minister Saini encouraged Japanese businesses to direct a larger portion of these investments into Haryana, stressing the state's robust industrial ecosystem, investor-friendly climate, and strategic benefits.

He pointed out the complementary nature of Shimane and Haryana, as both regions share a commendable legacy based on quality, precision, and innovation.

"Both areas boast strong industrial infrastructure, including cutting-edge industrial parks, smart logistics facilities, and an increasing focus on green energy," he added.

Highlighting the long-standing relationship, the Chief Minister noted that Haryana has served as Japan's most trusted industrial partner in India for many years, starting with the establishment of Maruti Suzuki's first manufacturing plant in the state during the 1980s.

This pivotal investment revolutionized India's mobility sector and laid the groundwork for a world-class industrial ecosystem in Haryana.

Today, Haryana is home to the highest concentration of Japanese companies in India, affirming its standing as a center of culture, enterprise, and innovation—a true home away from home for Japanese businesses.

Strategically positioned, Haryana borders the national capital, Delhi, on three sides and offers exceptional infrastructure, including the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway and a comprehensive multi-modal logistics hub.

The Chief Minister warmly invited investors, industrialists, and innovators to explore the vast opportunities in Haryana.
