Chandigarh, July 27 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, remarked on Sunday that the successful and seamless execution of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) over two days was achievable due to the collaborative efforts of both officers and employees.
Approximately 13.48 lakh candidates were deemed eligible to participate in this examination. Such cooperative teamwork established the CET as a benchmark for effective administration, he noted during a media interaction in Panchkula, located nearby.
Previously, the Chief Minister was involved in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' program at Panchkamal in Panchkula.
He highlighted that this monthly address features motivating stories from individuals who have positively impacted society, while also showcasing India’s cultural heritage, thereby inspiring citizens across the nation.
Regarding the CET arrangements, the Chief Minister stated that the government provided user-friendly facilities to ensure candidates could sit for the exam in a pleasant and stress-free atmosphere.
Administrative personnel, police officers, and roadways staff collaborated closely, while parents and locals also contributed by establishing refreshment points for candidates at various sites. This collective effort transformed the CET into a significant and well-structured event throughout the state, as the Chief Minister emphasized.
The CET wrapped up on its second day, Sunday, under tight security measures statewide. The examination was conducted during both morning and afternoon sessions.
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) oversaw the CET for recruiting Group C positions.
Arrangements were in place across 22 districts in Haryana, as well as in Chandigarh, where examination centers were established.
Special bus services were organized by the state Transport Department to transport candidates to examination centers. HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh visited Rohtak to oversee the arrangements.
Candidates were permitted entry only after undergoing thorough checks, according to officials. Prohibitory orders under Section 163 (which grants the power to issue orders in urgent cases of disturbance or perceived danger) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) of 2023 were enforced within a 500-meter radius of all examination centers.
