Haryana CM Pledges Ganga Water Supply to Faridabad Residents

Faridabad, April 4 (NationPress) In a significant promise to the residents, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini vowed to supply Ganga water to Faridabad during his address at the ‘Dhanyavaad Evam Viksit Faridabad Rally’ on Saturday.
He shared plans to enhance major city junctions in phases, aimed at alleviating vehicular pollution and promoting smoother traffic flow.
Addressing concerns related to groundwater quality, he stated that efforts will be made to investigate the feasibility of delivering fresh drinking water via the Upper Ganga canal. This will involve collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government to facilitate the transfer of Ganga canal water to Faridabad.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced the installation of rainwater harvesting systems in 50 community centers and parks in the city as part of the first phase. All government buildings will also be fitted with these systems by the respective departments to promote water conservation and tackle waterlogging issues.
A nature park will be constructed in Greater Faridabad under the Divya Nagar scheme, with an estimated cost of around Rs 10 crore.
Additionally, plans for a large banquet hall above a multi-level parking facility on three acres of HSVP land near the convention hall and Labour Court were unveiled. The government will also allocate land for establishing a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Greater Faridabad to ensure that local children have access to quality education.
In another development, a multi-speciality hospital will be set up in Sector 8 through a public-private partnership (PPP) model. Moreover, the IMT in Sector 66 will be revamped into a commercial sector, transforming it into an entertainment hub equipped with modern amenities such as cinema halls, hotels, and multiplexes.
