Haryana Minister Engages with Residents at 'Samadhan Shivir' in Gurugram

Gurugram, Nov 30 (NationPress) Haryana's Industry and Commerce and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh remarked on Saturday that he conducted a public hearing to address 20 key issues affecting 32 residential societies in the city during a Samadhan Shivir.
He noted that these residential societies have contributed 80 percent of their property tax to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG).
Each society will receive Rs 10 lakh for their local development initiatives.
The Minister encouraged residents to ensure timely payment of their property tax to facilitate the enhancement of development projects in their neighborhoods.
He assured attendees that future development efforts in their areas would prioritize their recommendations.
The Minister spoke at the Samadhan camp held at Shobha City in Sector-108 near the Dwarka Expressway.
He stated, "Badshahpur Assembly is the largest Assembly in Haryana. While reaching out to every society is challenging, addressing the public’s issues will always be a top priority. Due to the number of societies, we decided to hold a Samadhan camp at a central location for all surrounding societies."
During the camp, senior officials from the district administration and municipal bodies will address residents' concerns directly.
For issues that cannot be resolved immediately, officials will provide timelines for resolution.
The Minister emphasized that a government dedicated to serving the public has been established in Haryana under the guidance of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, consistently striving to resolve issues with the goal of ‘Antyodaya’ (uplifting the most economically disadvantaged).
Addressing the property ID concern, Rao Narbir Singh mentioned that the government is addressing this issue and has streamlined the process for obtaining property IDs.
He indicated that individuals can now create their property ID using self-certified documentation.
Additionally, the Minister urged attendees to support making Gurugram polythene-free.
As Gurugram is a significant district within the National Capital Region (NCR), he believes that any substantial initiative taken here will inspire other districts to follow suit.
He emphasized that residents do not need to travel to Chandigarh for assistance; their issues will be addressed within Gurugram. This approach will save time, resources, and contribute positively to the environment.
Furthermore, the Minister listened to complaints regarding electricity, encroachment, Najafgarh drain, green belt beautification, CCTV installation for security, city bus service, road renovations, drinking water, streetlights, drainage and sewer systems, traffic management, enhancement of sports facilities, cleanliness efforts, increased police patrolling for safety, and improved health services in the area, providing necessary instructions to the officials from various departments including Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran, District Town Planner, Forest and Environment, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, Sports, and Police departments.
