Chandigarh, Aug 31 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Sunday that the state is fully equipped to handle any flood emergencies resulting from heavy rainfall and rising river levels.
"We are taking all necessary measures to ensure that no citizen suffers any losses," the Chief Minister emphasized.
He urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from visiting hilly regions. The Chief Minister made these statements while addressing the media in Kurukshetra.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating the nation’s standing on the global stage and providing support to the underprivileged.
Further, the CM highlighted Bihar's historical significance, noting that it is the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the strategist Chanakya, and Guru Gobind Singh, who spread wisdom and bravery.
"On such revered land, the comments made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are highly inappropriate. Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the nation," he asserted.
The Chief Minister called on the Opposition to focus on discussing developmental achievements during their governance.
"If they had made any contributions, they wouldn’t be blaming EVMs today," he remarked.
He stated that the public has turned away from Congress, while Prime Minister Modi has fostered remarkable development and garnered global respect for India over the past 11 years.
When asked about the conflict in Israel, he expressed that loss of life and property is an unfortunate reality of war.
Responding to queries regarding tariffs, he assured that the nation is in capable hands and can tackle any challenges. He noted the continuous improvement in GDP, with advancements in national highways, railways, universities, and various development projects progressing swiftly across the nation.
The Chief Minister reminded everyone of the promise made in the election manifesto to provide Rs 2,100 to women, which has been allocated Rs 5,000 crore in this year’s budget.
On September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana portal will be inaugurated.
"Women will be able to apply via this portal, with an initial phase benefiting 20 lakh women. Further phases will follow," stated the CM.
He also pointed out that while Congress governments have announced similar initiatives for women, such programs have yet to be implemented in Congress-led states.
