Patna, Aug 31 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and BJP MP from Ujiarpur Nityanand Rai delivered a scathing critique of the Voter Adhikar Yatra spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, asserting that it is steeped in hatred and designed to mislead the people of Bihar.

Rai accused the yatra of being a platform for disparaging the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his esteemed mother while granting legitimacy to foreign infiltrators, including Rohingyas and Bangladeshis.

He stated: “The yatra was organized to shield intruders and validate their illegal voting rights. It also aimed to welcome leaders like M.K. Stalin and A. Revanth Reddy, who have disrespected Biharis in their home states.”

Rai cautioned the Opposition, saying: “The 14 crore people of Bihar will not tolerate a culture of abuse. There is widespread indignation across Bihar regarding the disrespectful language used against PM Modi and his mother. I urge Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav—cease testing Bihar's patience. Apologize now, or prepare for the repercussions.”

Commenting on Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra’s recent remarks in West Bengal about Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rai found them to be extremely objectionable and disgraceful.

He praised Amit Shah for making infiltration not just challenging but nearly impossible, accusing the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government of harboring intruders.

“Despite receiving funds from the Centre, her administration creates obstacles for land acquisition necessary for border security. This demonstrates Mamata Banerjee’s affinity for infiltrators,” he remarked.

Rai reiterated his support for Amit Shah, branding the Vote Adhikar Yatra as merely an “Intruder Bachao Yatra.”

He accused: “Through this yatra, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav are attempting to ensure that the names of Bangladeshi, Rohingya, and foreign infiltrators remain on the voter rolls to sway elections and establish a nefarious government of RJD and Congress in Bihar,” he stated.

Taking a jab at Opposition leaders from outside Bihar, he remarked: “Those who insult Biharis in their states now come here under the guise of election yatras. However, the people of Bihar are equipped to democratically teach a lesson to those who toy with their dignity and self-respect.”

Rai accused the Mahagathbandhan of being 'election tourists', stating, “They will parade around during elections, feigning solidarity with the populace, only to afterwards impose a regime of goondaism, jungle raj, and infiltrator rule on Bihar.”

Predicting the Assembly election results, Rai declared: “Mark my words—the Mahagathbandhan will be decimated, reduced to fewer than 40 seats. The NDA, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, will secure over 200 seats.”

Point of View

It is crucial to recognize the political tensions surrounding the Voter Adhikar Yatra. While Nityanand Rai's comments reflect his party's stance, the broader implications for Bihar’s political landscape and the sentiments of its citizens must be considered. The discourse is emblematic of the intense political rivalry in India, and the electorate's response will ultimately shape the future of governance in the region.
