Patna, Sep 5 (NationPress) A political uproar has erupted following a provocative social media comment from the Kerala Congress that likened Bihar to “bidis”. In response, Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, has issued a grave warning to Congress and its affiliates.
Expressing his disapproval of the now-deleted remark, Rai emphasized that there will be “no compromise with the honour and respect of 14 crore people of Bihar.”
“Congress and RJD leaders seem to take delight in belittling Biharis. They take pride in such actions. However, the people of Bihar will ensure that those who disrespect them learn a lesson,” he asserted.
Rai directly called out Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, stating, “The situation has gone too far. The way Congress and RJD are disrespecting the dignity of the people of Bihar will not go unanswered. Biharis can take any democratic and constitutional measures to uphold their dignity.”
The former Bihar BJP President and Lok Sabha MP from Ujiarpur added that Bihar, known for its legacy of mass movements and democracy, would not accept repeated indignities.
“This is a calculated scheme by Congress and RJD against Biharis, masterminded by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav,” he claimed.
Rai also accused opposition figures of extending their insults beyond the borders of Bihar.
“Their dissatisfaction with insulting Biharis in Bihar has led them to attack Biharis from Kerala. Let it be clear—this is Bihar. The people here are patient and respectful, but that doesn’t imply they will not defend their dignity. Rahul Gandhi, your insults toward 14 crore Biharis will have serious repercussions,” he cautioned.
The controversy surrounding the Kerala Congress’s deleted post, which stated, “B for Bidi, B for Bihar. Cannot be considered a sin anymore,” has galvanized NDA leaders in Bihar, transforming the issue into a rallying cry for Bihari pride and dignity as the Assembly elections approach.
