Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh), April 13 (NationPress) The launch of Amrit Pharmacy and the Integrated Public Health Laboratory took place on Sunday, facilitated by Union Minister Anupriya Patel. These significant healthcare initiatives aim to provide affordable and effective medical services to local residents at substantially reduced prices.
During the ceremony at the Divisional Hospital, Union Minister Anupriya Patel inaugurated the Integrated Public Health Laboratory and also performed Bhoomi Pujan for the Amrit Pharmacy.
These projects are expected to lower medical costs for residents and align healthcare standards with those found in larger urban centers.
Amrit Pharmacy will offer over 6,500 lifesaving medications at prices that are approximately 60-70% lower than typical market rates. Additionally, surgical supplies will be available.
The advanced Public Health Laboratory is equipped to conduct 92 different tests, enabling residents to access a comprehensive range of pathological and diagnostic services within a single location.
Speaking to the media, Anupriya Patel emphasized the government's commitment to addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals in hospitals and announced the establishment of new medical colleges to bridge this gap.
She mentioned that the Central government has allocated resources for 75,000 additional medical college seats and plans to recruit specialist doctors with competitive salaries.
Local residents have expressed their appreciation for these initiatives, highlighting the significant positive impact on their lives.
Lal Bahadur Singh remarked: “Amrit Pharmacy will allow us to save substantial amounts, as it offers generic medications at half the prices of branded ones. The laboratory will also provide valuable services at lower costs.”
