New Delhi, Oct 29 (NationPress) Heritage Foods has successfully acquired a 51 percent majority stake in Get-A-Way Ice Cream & Desserts, as confirmed by Brahmani Nara, Executive Director of Heritage Foods, on Wednesday.
In her announcement, Brahmani emphasized that Heritage Foods has been founded on the values of trust and transparency over the last thirty years, noting that the values of Get-A-Way resonate closely with those of Heritage.
“For three decades, we’ve built Heritage on trust, transparency, and the conviction that dairy should nourish both the body and the conscience. Get-A-Way embodies that same ethos, redefining indulgence as guilt-free and uncompromising,” Brahmani shared via her X handle.
“By fusing our strengths, Heritage’s extensive dairy knowledge and Get-A-Way’s innovative approach, we’re set to usher India’s wellness economy into a new phase. This collaboration transcends mere business; it’s a mutual mission to create products that resonate with consumers,” she continued.
The Hyderabad-based dairy leader has acquired the majority stake in Peanut Butter and Jelly, the parent company of the Get-A-Way ice cream brand.
Heritage Foods holds the option to purchase an additional 20 percent of the company by March 2026 at a price mutually agreed upon, while the original promoters retain the remaining 49 percent stake.
This strategic investment reinforces Heritage Foods’ standing in the super-premium, functional, and indulgence-balanced segment, marking its entry into the burgeoning premium and health-conscious dessert market.
With this acquisition, the company aims to extend its offerings beyond traditional dairy into pioneering, guilt-free indulgence products that cater to the rising consumer demand for high-protein, no-added-sugar, and health-focused dessert innovations.
Targeting health-conscious consumers in India’s rapidly growing premium dessert sector, Get-A-Way specializes in high-protein, sugar-free ice creams and desserts.
Established in 2018, Get-A-Way replaces conventional sweeteners with natural sugar substitutes and whey protein in its recipes.
Heritage Foods Limited is a prominent player in the dairy and agricultural products market, ranking among the largest private sector entities in South India’s dairy industry. Founded in 1992, the company operates through three key divisions: dairy, retail, and agri products.
