New Delhi, June 22 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Chhattisgarh on Sunday for an important two-day trip aimed at enhancing the current crackdown on leftist extremism while initiating significant infrastructure projects to bolster forensic investigation capabilities in the region.
During his visit from June 22-23, HM Shah will lead a high-ranking meeting with senior security and administrative officials to assess the advancements in combating the Maoist insurgency.
The focus of the meeting will also be on refining the government's strategy to fulfill the objective of eradicating Maoist influence by the target date of March 31, 2026.
Emphasizing the government's dedication to long-term stability and enhanced security measures in the area, Shah is expected to lay the foundation stone for a campus of the renowned National Forensic Science University (NFSU) in Naya Raipur. This state-of-the-art campus will span 40 acres of land already designated by the state government.
