New Delhi, Oct 12 (NationPress) - Samajwadi Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chaand conveyed optimism regarding the INDIA bloc's collective strength and unity as the Bihar Assembly elections approach. He indicated that the ongoing negotiations for seat-sharing underscore the coalition's serious intention to establish the next government. Chaand stated, “Discussions on seat-sharing within the INDIA bloc are underway because this alliance is determined to take charge of the government. We aim to resolve all issues without leaving any unresolved.” His comments followed RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s planned meeting in Delhi with senior Congress figures, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.
He continued, “We will finalize the seat-sharing shortly. However, the BJP-led NDA is likely to face fragmentation when it comes to ticket distribution. The INDIA bloc is preparing for a robust campaign in the Bihar elections, and this time it will be our alliance's government.”
The meeting between Tejashwi Yadav and Congress leadership is deemed vital for resolving seat-sharing discrepancies and aligning the Mahagathbandhan's electoral strategy. Tejashwi assured that there is no discord within the alliance, asserting, “The alliance is intact. Everything is functioning smoothly. My job pledge has unsettled the ruling party. What I have promised, I will fulfill. Starting November 14, Bihar will begin to tackle unemployment.”
Additionally, Chaand criticized the BJP-led NDA for neglecting allies, such as Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), emphasizing that such marginalization is not a new phenomenon. “SBSP has often contested independently in Uttar Pradesh. They’ve been disregarded, possibly due to their alliance formation. This is also occurring in Bihar, where Om Prakash Rajbhar is not receiving seats, not even where his son lost. The BJP does not value its allies,” Chaand noted, adding that the internal conflicts within the NDA do not concern the Samajwadi Party.
As the Mahagathbandhan continues its negotiations, the leaders of the INDIA bloc are striving to present a united front in Bihar, aiming to create a formidable challenge in the forthcoming elections.
