New Delhi, Dec 24 (NationPress) Leaders from across the country have commended ISRO for its historic achievement in successfully launching the Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM3)-M6, which carries the US spacecraft BlueBird Block-2. They described this event as a significant milestone that will enhance India's commercial space capabilities.

The LVM3-M6, which is tasked with deploying BlueBird 6, lifted off from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the successful launch as a moment of pride for India. He stated, 'Heartiest congratulations to the entire team of ISRO on the successful launch of LVM3-M6, deploying the BlueBird Block-2 satellite into Low Earth Orbit. This landmark mission reflects India's growing global stature in space technology, enabled by the visionary leadership and constant guidance of PM Narendra Modi,' he posted on X.

He further emphasized that ISRO continues to inspire the nation and solidify India's role as a trusted space partner worldwide.

Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remarked that with the launch of BlueBird 6, ISRO has once again showcased India's scientific capabilities and confidence to the world.

In a post on X, CM Yadav expressed, 'The fluttering flag of New India in space! ISRO has once again highlighted India's scientific capabilities through the successful launch of the BlueBird Block-2 spacecraft via the LVM3-M6 rocket. Heartfelt congratulations to the entire ISRO team for this historic achievement.'

'Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is swiftly advancing toward becoming a space superpower,' he added.

Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that India 'stands tall as a respected partner in the global space ecosystem.'

In her message on X, she mentioned, 'This achievement reflects India's advanced technological capabilities and the decisive direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has instilled new confidence and credibility in Bharat's space sector.'

'ISRO's ongoing excellence inspires the nation and enhances Bharat's role in shaping the future of space exploration,' she added.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended his congratulations to ISRO via X, stating, 'Launching the heaviest satellite ever from Indian soil is a proud milestone that further strengthens our nation's commercial space capabilities and its status as a reliable global launch partner. Best wishes to all the scientists, engineers, and everyone involved in this remarkable mission.'

The BlueBird 6 communication satellite, weighing 6,100 kg, is the heaviest payload ever placed into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) in the history of LVM3 launches. The previous record was held by the LVM3-M5 Communication Satellite 03, weighing approximately 4,400 kg, successfully launched by ISRO on November 2.

This satellite is part of the next generation of BlueBird Block-2 communication satellites, aimed at providing space-based cellular broadband connectivity directly to standard mobile smartphones.

This mission signifies the 6th operational flight of the LVM3 launch vehicle and marks a significant advancement in telecommunications technology, as the substantial 6,100 kg payload is intended to deliver high-speed 4G and 5G connectivity directly to smartphones.

This endeavor is part of a commercial agreement formed between NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO, and the US-based company AST SpaceMobile (AST and Science, LLC).
