Bhopal, July 16 (NationPress) Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, remarked that India and Spain share a profound resemblance akin to twin brothers, as both nations boast ancient civilisations shaped by rich moral values and cultural heritage.
This assertion was made during his address at the Invest in MP Business Forum Meet in Madrid, part of his four-day official visit to Spain. Yadav emphasized Spain's robust identity, not just in culture but also in technology. He commended Spain for its peaceful nature, community development, and its embrace of technology and football, all of which bolster its economy.
He highlighted that Spain ranks as India’s sixth-largest trade partner, with current bilateral trade reaching $9.32 billion. "Every initiative by Spanish investors in Madhya Pradesh will mark a significant milestone in business and trade development," Yadav stated. He further claimed that Madhya Pradesh is the fastest-growing state in India, making it a highly lucrative investment destination. He urged potential investors, "If you're contemplating an investment in India, a visit to Madhya Pradesh is a must; it's an unforgettable experience."
Yadav elaborated on the vast investment opportunities available in sectors like minerals, tourism, large-scale industries, pharmaceuticals, and technology. He noted, "Madhya Pradesh is leading the rapid growth in India's tourism sector", and its central location is establishing it as a logistics hub.
Prior to the investors' meeting, the Chief Minister toured the globally renowned headquarters of LaLiga in Madrid (Spain's top professional football league) and engaged in discussions with senior officials regarding sports, youth empowerment, and investment collaboration.
Yadav underscored that the expertise and global outreach of LaLiga should directly benefit the youth of Madhya Pradesh. He suggested to LaLiga’s officials to establish training centers in the state, aiming to utilize this partnership as a powerful catalyst for social development through sports.
"Sports have transitioned from mere competition to integral components of personality, career, and global identity for India's youth," he remarked. Reflecting on Prime Minister Modi’s description of a small village in Shahdol as the “football capital of India”, CM Yadav highlighted this as acknowledgment of the latent potential in rural India. Madhya Pradesh is enhancing its infrastructure for football and various sports from Shahdol to Bhopal. The state government is dedicated to equipping athletes with modern facilities, world-class training, and opportunities for international competition.
