Patna, May 11 (NationPress) Following the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi lauded the Indian Army for its rapid and effective response during Operation Sindoor. He emphasized that Pakistan was compelled to seek mediation from the U.S. as a direct result of the pressure applied by India's military strength.
“In just two days of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army imparted a significant lesson to Pakistan. They now recognize the might of our defense forces,” Manjhi stated while speaking to the media in Gaya on Sunday.
He also noted that the Indian government's position on terrorism has not changed despite the ceasefire, underscoring the termination of the Indus Waters Treaty as a robust diplomatic action in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
“Any act of terrorism from this point on will be regarded as an act of war. We harbor no hostility towards the citizens or the Army of Pakistan, but we maintain a strict zero tolerance policy for terrorists operating from their territory,” Manjhi asserted.
“I commend PM Narendra Modi and the Indian Army for their outstanding bravery and courage during Operation Sindoor,” he added.
Meanwhile, Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav also expressed his appreciation for the Indian Armed Forces' bravery and professionalism during Operation Sindoor.
He reiterated his call for the Prime Minister to convene a special parliamentary session.
“The entire nation stands united against terrorism. A special session of Parliament is crucial to honor those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack as well as during Operation Sindoor,” Yadav stated.
Yadav further urged media organizations to report with sensitivity on national security issues. “I previously appealed to the media to handle reports on Operation Sindoor with care, and I reiterate that request today,” he emphasized.
The ceasefire, which followed high-level talks including a call between U.S. President Donald Trump and PM Narendra Modi, has sparked mixed responses from political leaders, although the majority continue to support India’s armed forces and national security strategies.
