New Delhi, May 17 (NationPress) As India escalates its global diplomatic efforts following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha has vocally denounced Pakistan’s direct involvement in cross-border terrorism, insisting that the Pakistani government is complicit in financing terror activities.
Jha, who is set to lead an all-party parliamentary delegation addressing the Pahalgam attack and 'Operation Sindoor', emphasized that the initiative seeks to unify India's stance internationally and unveil Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism.
“Pakistan engages in state-sponsored terrorism. Their government actively finances terrorists; there are no non-state actors in their country. We intend to inform the global community that wherever terrorism arises, Pakistan’s involvement is evident. The government of Pakistan itself participates in terrorism,” Jha articulated while discussing the delegation’s objectives.
The move follows a tragic terrorist assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region that resulted in 26 fatalities. In retaliation, the Indian government initiated 'Operation Sindoor', a diplomatic strategy that includes seven parliamentary delegations across party lines.
These teams will journey to pivotal global capitals to exert pressure on Pakistan and foster international collaboration against terrorism.
Jha praised the Centre’s initiative to include leaders from various political factions, highlighting the demonstration of national unity.
“PM Modi has decided to dispatch a delegation to articulate India’s perspective during 'Operation Sindoor'. In times of crisis, our nation unifies, and all political parties collaborate. MPs from every party are being deployed. Our armed forces have targeted terror bases, resulting in the neutralization of numerous terrorists,” he remarked.
The delegations will feature notable parliamentarians like Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda, DMK’s Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP(SP)’s Supriya Sule, and Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Eknath Shinde.
“I am grateful to the Government of India for allowing me to lead one of the delegations. We will undoubtedly present India’s standpoint and reveal how the Pakistani government is entangled in terrorism,” Jha concluded.
This outreach signifies India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and aims to rally global sentiment against nations that support or harbor terrorist elements.
