New Delhi, Oct 12 (NationPress) India's recent accolade of the Social Security Award 2025 from the International Social Security Association (ISA) has been met with commendation from industry leaders this Sunday. They assert that it embodies Prime Minister Narendra Modi's enduring commitment to fostering inclusive and dignified growth for all workers nationwide.

In an interview with IANS, Preet Deep Singh, Vice-President of Apna.co, praised this recognition, stating it mirrors the Prime Minister's foresight in safeguarding the future of every worker.

"Historically, social security was frequently neglected. This award signifies that India, under PM Modi's stewardship, is ensuring that no citizen is excluded from the journey towards a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India)," he remarked.

India's social protection framework has seen a remarkable surge — escalating from only 19 percent in 2015 to 64.3 percent in 2025 — thereby encompassing nearly 94 crore citizens through various social security initiatives.

Singh emphasized that this momentum is deeply anchored in the Prime Minister's vision of 'Antyodaya' — uplifting those at the bottom of the social ladder.

"PM Modi's belief that genuine progress is reflected when it reaches the most impoverished is evident in every governmental policy. The ongoing initiatives are empowering individuals who were previously marginalized from social protection," he asserted.

Discussing the E-Shram portal, which has linked over 31 crore unorganised workers in just four years, Singh highlighted how technology has emerged as a pivotal instrument in reaching every segment of the nation.

"Under the leadership of Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, platforms like E-Shram and the National Career Service are amplifying the voices of citizens who were once unheard. Leveraging AI-driven insights from this data, policies can now be tailored to truly serve these workers," he noted.

In agreement, Jaideep K, Chief Operating Officer of TeamLease, declared the award as a moment of pride, showcasing India's compliance with global benchmarks in worker welfare.

"The ISA Award 2025 affirms that there is inclusive growth for all workers in India. It underscores international confidence in our advancements and the government's robust commitment to social protection," he added.

Jaideep applauded the rise in social protection coverage and the effectiveness of digital platforms like E-Shram, EPF, and ESIC portals, stating these have empowered millions of unorganised workers.

"Workers can now conveniently access their social security information via their mobile devices. This digital transformation enhances workforce engagement and propels India's trajectory towards becoming a developed nation," he remarked.

Moreover, he pointed out that India's receipt of the highest number of votes in the ISA General Assembly exemplifies global trust in the nation's leadership and labour reforms.

"These initiatives not only facilitate business operations but also enhance the living standards of workers. As workers contribute to the nation's advancement, the government prioritizes their welfare and dignity — this is what renders India's growth both inclusive and sustainable," he concluded.
