New Delhi, Oct 13 (NationPress) As the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has officially unveiled its seat-sharing strategy for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, numerous leaders from the coalition expressed strong optimism for victory, claiming that the 'five Pandava coalition' will once again take the reins of the state government.
The ruling NDA, which comprises five parties in Bihar, revealed its seat-sharing plan on Sunday.
The BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats apiece. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, has been allocated 29 seats, while the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), headed by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), led by former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha, will each contest six seats in the 243-member Assembly.
In a statement to the media, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha remarked, 'The NDA has successfully reached a consensus, making decisions that prioritize the welfare of the people of Bihar, and we will triumph. We are poised to form a government with a significant majority.'
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also expressed confidence in the coalition's future, confirming that candidate decisions will be forthcoming.
'The seat-sharing arrangement is finalized, and the NDA is entirely at ease. Upcoming discussions will determine which candidate and party will contest, and decisions will be made soon,' he informed reporters.
Minister Nitin Nabin emphasized that the alliance's cohesion and timely decisions showcase its strong leadership.
'When the policy is sound, intentions are pure, and leadership is competent, decisions are made at the right moment,' Nabin told IANS.
BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal announced that formal discussions regarding candidates will commence on Sunday.
'The NDA has revealed its seat-sharing. I have consistently stated that we will enter the Bihar Assembly elections unitedly as the 'five Pandava coalition'. Today marks the beginning of our formal candidate discussions,' he stated.
