New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) In a strong response to the offensive slogans directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Congress protest at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala claimed that the rally revealed the opposition's perilous mentality and was not genuinely focused on electoral matters.

Poonawala stated that the slogans indicated an assault on constitutional principles rather than a legitimate democratic protest.

“This rally is not about the SIR. It is fundamentally an attack on the Constitution aimed at preserving dynastic politics,” Poonawala remarked.

Referring to controversial statements allegedly made by Congress figures, he mentioned, “A video has emerged featuring a Congress leader, supposedly acting on orders from the party leadership, discussing the assassination of Prime Minister Modi, asserting that his grave will be prepared sooner or later. This conclusively demonstrates their intent to eliminate PM Modi, as they prioritize family rule over constitutional democracy.”

Poonawala further accused Congress of consistently engaging in provocative and offensive actions. “Recently, Ragini Nayak made an AI video of PM Modi and mocked him. The Prime Minister's mother was insulted at a rally in Bihar, and Rahul Gandhi threatens constitutional bodies like the Election Commission in Parliament. Under his direction, party workers threaten PM Modi. This is the EMI: the Emergency Mindset of Indira’s grandson,” he alleged.

The BJP's response came as tight security was in place at Ramlila Maidan, where Congress members gathered in large numbers to protest against alleged “vote chori,” claiming that the Centre and the Election Commission of India (ECI) are colluding to rig elections. However, the demonstration faced backlash after many participants were heard chanting offensive slogans against the Prime Minister.

As chants reverberated throughout the venue, some demonstrators were heard shouting, “Modi teri kabra khudegi, aaj nahi to kal khudegi,” along with “Vote chor, gaddi chhord,” directly addressing PM Modi. These slogans were met with severe criticism from the ruling party, which deemed them irresponsible and dangerous.

Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar also denounced the slogans, stating that the protest reflected the Congress party's mentality. “This reveals their mindset. Individuals with both high and low mentalities are involved in this movement, and the raising of such slogans in this type of agitation exposes the narrow-mindedness and low-level thinking of those claiming to be intellectual leaders or trendsetters,” Shelar stated.
