Mysuru (Karnataka), Nov 22 (NationPress) Responding to inquiries about whether Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President D.K. Shivakumar is feeling a sense of urgency regarding the CM's position, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Working President and six-time Congress MLA Tanveer Sait stated unequivocally that no one is in a state of desperation.
“Anything can transpire here, and it is ultimately the high command that will make the call. If the high command takes a decision, what seems impossible can become feasible,” he emphasized.
He made these remarks during a press conference in Mysuru on Saturday, which gained prominence amidst the ongoing leadership conflict in the state.
“No one can hinder what is destined to happen. You cannot fabricate a situation that is not occurring. The matter of leadership transition is beyond our control. Anything could unfold at any moment, and it lies entirely in the high command's domain to manage it,” Tanveer Sait asserted.
“The issue of leadership transition is not ours to resolve, as I have previously indicated, discussions regarding power sharing have not involved us,” he further explained.
He added, “I am deeply grateful to Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar. He has played a pivotal role in shaping my political journey. This isn't about gain or loss; I'm expressing my thoughts candidly. The high command will resolve the uncertainties and ambiguities within two days. They should have clarified their stance on power sharing earlier, as this has been prolonged. The ongoing confusion has persisted for two years and may escalate to alarming levels.”
“I also hold great respect for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. I have faith in him as well. At this moment, the focus should be on the state. There should be no discord regarding leadership. Everyone has their aspirations. If it were within our power, we would have resolved it promptly. When it will occur remains to be seen,” he remarked.
Tanveer Sait continued, “Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar conveyed his best wishes to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah following his statement about serving as CM for the full term. Shivakumar responded in a cheerful manner. There is no reason to prolong this matter any further.”
In another notable event, Minister for Forest Eshwar B. Khandre visited AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge at his home in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar encountered each other at the World Fisheries Day celebration in Bengaluru. Initially appearing serious, both leaders were later observed conversing amiably while seated on the stage.
