Jaipur, March 6 (NationPress) In a significant operation against illegal gambling in Jaipur, police apprehended 44 individuals engaged in gambling activities.
Among those arrested was Bablu Ganya, also known as Firoz, who purportedly leased his residence for gambling. Authorities recovered Rs 48.80 lakh in cash from the gamblers. During the operation, two suspects attempted to flee by leaping from the roof, resulting in leg fractures.
The police subsequently paraded all detained suspects from Nahargarh police station to Sanjay Circle. Deputy Commissioner of North Rashi Doodi Dogra mentioned that a specialized team was assembled to raid gambling dens operating within the city.
She stated that Bablu Ganya managed a notorious gambling ring in the Nahargarh region. To avoid police intervention, he had positioned CCTV cameras throughout the street and nearby areas.
He would invite gamblers from outside and establish the gambling house late at night, deploying men to observe the area for security. Aware of Ganya’s strategies, the police meticulously organized the raid using Google Maps, marking adjacent houses to hinder the suspects from escaping through rooftops.
