Jammu, Feb 17 (NationPress) On Monday, the Chief Secretary of J&K conducted a thorough examination of the features and operational aspects of the 'Sehat App' prior to its public release.
According to an official statement, this application, developed by BISAG-N upon the request of the Health & Medical Education Department, aims to act as a comprehensive solution for all patient and health practitioner services within J&K.
During a live demo of the application, the Chief Secretary evaluated various features and commended both the Health Department and BISAG-N for bringing this initiative to life.
The Chief Secretary noted that this initial version is a well-rounded application providing enhanced services to both patients and health practitioners through their smartphones.
He urged the relevant parties to ensure that all health practitioners are onboarded to the portal to maximize the application’s utility for users.
Additionally, he recommended improvements regarding the registration process for doctors and paramedics offering home support and teleconsultation services.
Regarding other services, the Chief Secretary requested more information on advanced services like chemotherapy and dialysis available in both the public and private sectors.
He also instructed the incorporation of insurance services through schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
Moreover, he proposed creating a list of certified professionals who can provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) to enhance capacity and availability across the region.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of including information on blood donors and API integration with other applications like e-WIN, ABDM, and other pertinent platforms.
He called for additional features such as home delivery of medications and activity calendars from various medical colleges and national institutions to assist medical students and practitioners.
