Ranchi, April 18 (NationPress) In an effort to draw foreign investments, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will commence a week-long official journey to Spain and Sweden from April 19 to April 26.

Accompanying the Chief Minister will be a high-level delegation composed of senior government officials and prominent bureaucrats.

Soren, together with his wife Kalpana Soren, arrived in New Delhi from Ranchi on Thursday evening using a special aircraft in preparation for the official visit.

On April 19, the 11-member delegation is set to depart from New Delhi to Madrid, the capital of Spain.

The delegation features Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Principal Secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, Secretary of Industries Arava Rajkamal, Director of Industries Sushant Gaurav, along with other senior officials.

The primary objective of this visit is to position Jharkhand as a burgeoning hub for global investors by emphasizing the state’s industrial capabilities, rich natural resources, and favorable investment policies.

According to the official schedule, the delegation will engage in multiple high-level meetings and presentations.

On April 21, the team will participate in discussions with representatives of major companies located in Madrid. On April 22, focused meetings will take place with stakeholders from Spain’s mining and steel industries.

On April 23, in Barcelona, the delegation will converse with officials from Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture to investigate potential partnerships in agri-tech and sustainable farming.

On April 25, the group will travel to Gothenburg, Sweden, where an important meeting is arranged with firms involved in the clean energy sector.

On April 26, one-on-one discussions will occur between Jharkhand government officials and potential entrepreneurs and investors.

This is the inaugural international trip by any delegation under the 'Hemant Soren 2.0' administration.

During the visit, the delegation will introduce the state's Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy, showcase ongoing development projects, and emphasize the state’s commitment to facilitating foreign investments through policy incentives and infrastructural support.

The delegation is anticipated to return to Jharkhand on April 27.
