Gwalior, Sep 15 (NationPress) - Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia convened a meeting at the District Collector's office on Monday to assess the advancement of nearly a dozen significant projects currently under construction in Gwalior.

Among the pivotal initiatives funded by the Centre and state governments are the revitalization of the Gwalior Railway Station, the proposed expressway connecting Gwalior to Agra (Uttar Pradesh), an elevated roadway in the city, and various water distribution projects, among others.

The Minister announced that the redevelopment of the Gwalior Railway Station, a crucial modernization effort, is expected to reach completion by April 2026. This redevelopment, with a budget of Rs 534.70 crore, will highlight the local art and culture, as well as the rich heritage of Gwalior.

Post-redevelopment, the station will offer an improved passenger experience featuring world-class amenities such as enhanced lighting, escalators, lifts for better accessibility, effective signage, a spacious roof plaza, ample waiting areas, and recreational facilities.
