Bengaluru, April 26 (NationPress) In response to remarks suggesting that waging war on Pakistan is unnecessary following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Karnataka BJP has sharply criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, asserting that his advice on the Pahalgam incident is unwarranted and that he lacks the credibility to comment on matters of war with Pakistan.

The Opposition Leader, R. Ashoka, stated on Saturday, "It is unfortunate for Karnataka that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who boasts 40 years of political experience and has served two terms as Chief Minister, does not possess even a fundamental grasp of when to speak and what to say."

Referring to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Ashoka noted, "This was an act perpetrated by Pakistan-supported Islamic terrorists, carried out by infiltrators from across the border. This is no longer merely a national security issue," he emphasized.

"This act poses a direct challenge to India's sovereignty and dignity. In such dire circumstances, the nation must set aside party affiliations and unite in a collective voice. That’s why the Central government convened an all-party meeting to bring all parties, including your own Congress party's national leadership, together in mutual support for any decisions made by the Central government," he added, targeting the Siddaramaiah-led Karnataka administration.

"We have a professional military force equipped with the knowledge and experience to determine the necessary actions and their timing. Your input is neither needed nor warranted," Ashoka charged.

Criticizing the Congress-led state government further, the Opposition leader remarked, "In Karnataka, numerous illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, Rohingya refugees, and Pakistani nationals are present without restriction. Focus on identifying and deporting them to ensure the safety of Kannadigas, rather than interfering in matters that do not concern you."

In response to the discussions regarding potential military action against Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists, CM Siddaramaiah stated that there is currently no requirement to declare war against Pakistan.

While addressing reporters in Mysuru on Saturday, he added, "There is no need for war against Pakistan. We must implement strict security measures. We advocate for peace, ensuring that people feel secure, and we expect the Central government to establish effective security protocols."
