Bengaluru, May 9 (NationPress) A 'Jai Hind Yatra' was organized by the Karnataka Congress party on Friday in Bengaluru to show support for the Indian security forces executing 'Operation Sindoor', a response to the tragic Pahalgam attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals due to Pakistan-supported terrorists. Congress representatives emphasized that 'despite Pakistan's provocations, India stands strong and will confront the enemy.'
The 'Jai Hind Yatra' commenced at K.R. Circle and proceeded to Minsk Square in Bengaluru, led by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
Participating in the rally were ministers H.K. Patil, G. Parameshwara, K.H. Muniyappa, H.C. Mahadevappa, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Priyank Kharge, Dr. M.C. Sudhakar, Bose Raju, and the Chief Whip of the Legislative Council Saleem Ahmed, joined by MLA Rizwan Arshad and numerous others.
Officials from both government and private sectors, along with students and representatives from various organizations, took part in the event.
While addressing the media during the 'Jai Hind Yatra', D.K. Shivakumar, the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress President, mentioned that the Tiranga yatra was initiated by the state government to denounce the terrorist incident in Pahalgam and to back the Indian military undertaking 'Operation Sindoor'.
“We aim to convey a significant message to the nation through this Tiranga yatra. The world is watching India at this moment. We highlight the importance of unity and offer moral support to our soldiers,” stated Dy CM Shivakumar.
“The Jai Hind Tiranga Yatra has been arranged in Karnataka. We have welcomed all societal segments, including students and government personnel, regardless of their backgrounds. We are saluting our armed forces as the nation’s integrity is paramount. This march symbolizes our commitment,” he added.
“I am delighted that participants from all walks of life, including retired soldiers, students, and representatives from other political parties, are coming together. Let’s unite for the pride of our country. Despite Pakistan's provocations, India remains robust, and we will confront the adversary,” he emphasized.
“We must support our soldiers who are risking their lives for our nation,” he underscored.
