Lucknow, Sep 1 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Minister Narendra Kashyap has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his resolute and unequivocal position against terrorism during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Kashyap stated that PM Modi has significantly enhanced India’s international reputation by addressing the pivotal issue of terrorism on such a prestigious global stage.
“At the SCO Summit, the Prime Minister engaged in dialogues with numerous world leaders, articulating deep concerns regarding trade and security, particularly surrounding terrorism. It fills every Indian with pride that PM Modi underscored that terrorism and Maoism in India are approaching their conclusion — a testament to the nation’s effective counter-terrorism strategies,” Kashyap remarked.
He emphasized that PM Modi's declarations at the summit represent a significant advancement in safeguarding the nation and reflect India’s zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism. “The Prime Minister’s courageous stance on eradicating terrorism has delivered a strong message globally,” he noted.
Discussing the Pahalgam terror attack, Kashyap described it as an assault on the essence of India. "It unsettled the very core of our nation. For the first time, innocent civilians were savagely targeted based on their religion and identity, with many losing their lives in front of their families while being completely innocent," he stated.
Kashyap praised PM Modi’s decisive reaction, asserting, "The message he conveyed to the terrorists, their orchestrators, and the nations that back them will be indelibly etched in memory. He also kept vigilant on nations supporting terrorism while acknowledging those that stood alongside India against such malevolent forces."
"The message is unmistakable," Kashyap emphasized, "India will not tolerate terrorism, and the majority of the world now stands with India due to PM Modi’s steadfast policy."
Moreover, the minister hailed the establishment of a board for nomadic and denotified tribes in Uttar Pradesh as a landmark decision. He credited CM Yogi Adityanath for taking initiatives to provide housing and employment for these marginalized communities, asserting that this step will uplift those at the lowest tier of society.
