Is Kejriwal Leading the Charge Against BJP, Calling MLA Chaitar Vasava a 'Symbol of Tribal Resistance'?

Ahmedabad, July 24 (NationPress) The national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Arvind Kejriwal, spearheaded a rally in the Narmada district of Gujarat to advocate for jailed tribal MLA Chaitar Vasava. During his address in Dediyapada, Kejriwal criticized the BJP government for silencing tribal voices and fabricating charges against Vasava for revealing deep-seated corruption.

"The BJP may imprison our leaders, yet they cannot imprison the truth," Kejriwal asserted.

He emphasized, "Chaitar Vasava is not a criminal; he embodies the spirit of resistance, truth, and tribal rights. He defended his community when no one else would."

Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP Gujarat's state president Isudan Gadhvi, senior leader Gopal Italia, and other party officials also addressed the audience, framing the event as a struggle for the dignity and future of Gujarat's tribal populations.

Kejriwal accused the BJP of embezzling public resources allocated for education, healthcare, and rural development.

"Funds meant for schools, hospitals, and MGNREGA wages have been misappropriated. When Chaitar Vasava unveiled this corruption, they imprisoned him," he stated.

He further alleged that false charges were filed, CCTV footage was erased, and law enforcement operated under political directives. "The BJP's message is evident: speak out, and you will be silenced. Our message is equally clear: we will raise our voices even louder."

AAP MLA Gopal Italia highlighted stark differences between AAP and BJP, stating, "The BJP offers tickets to thugs and criminals. Arvind Kejriwal provides opportunities to youth like Chaitar Vasava and myself — individuals from humble backgrounds who prioritize justice."

He called on the community to support "honest, transparent candidates" in the approaching local body elections. "We must secure every taluka and district panchayat seat to ensure the BJP's defeat everywhere," he urged.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann asserted: "The land, water, and forests belong to the tribal communities, yet the BJP is selling everything off. They even erase CCTV footage to hide the truth."

He assured that AAP would steadfastly support tribal communities and accused the BJP of transforming governance into a resource-extractive industry. "When an adivasi rises, no storm can deter him," Mann proclaimed.

With district and taluka panchayat elections imminent, AAP leveraged the rally to energize its grassroots base. "Step up, take tickets, and run for elections," Kejriwal urged locals. "Let the people of Gujarat author a new narrative."

Isudan Gadhvi reinforced this message, declaring that the BJP's reign is nearing its end. "The cycle of power is shifting. Just as Krishna proclaimed, the arrogant shall fall when the time comes. BJP, your era is over," he declared.

Chaitar Vasava's wife, Varsha Vasava, shared a letter from her imprisoned husband. The letter accused law enforcement of acting on BJP's orders and detailed multiple injustices, such as being denied family visits and legal representation. "I left a secure government position to advocate for my community," Vasava wrote. "Now they are retaliating against me for voicing my concerns. But I am unafraid. This struggle transcends my individual plight."
