New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva asserted that AAP National Convenor and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has entirely lost his political footing in Delhi.
In a state of desperation and anticipating his inevitable defeat, Kejriwal has begun to tarnish the reputation of the Election Commission and the electoral process, he claimed, referencing an incident involving the AAP's Patparganj candidate Avadh Ojha and his vote transfer from Greater Noida to Delhi.
Sachdeva posed a critical question to Kejriwal: Avadh Ojha joined the AAP on December 2, and it was agreed that he would run in the elections from that date—why did he not take any action until the final day of the vote transfer process on January 6?
The Delhi BJP President emphasized that while Kejriwal is advocating for Avadh Ojha’s vote transfer even after the deadline, he objects to the timely voter registrations of residents living at the homes of BJP MPs in the New Delhi constituency.
Sachdeva predicted that Kejriwal is poised to experience a significant defeat in the New Delhi Assembly constituency. In Jangpura, Manish Sisodia is faltering, and in Kalkaji, Chief Minister Atishi Marlena faces elimination due to a formidable BJP candidate.
Out of sheer desperation, Kejriwal is now laying the groundwork to blame the Election Commission for his defeat on February 8.
Sachdeva remarked that Kejriwal has a tendency to make unfounded accusations before approaching the Election Commission, but after meeting with poll officials, he emerges stating, “I am grateful.”
Previously, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Member of Parliament from West Delhi, noted that due to Kejriwal’s negligence towards the development of rural Delhi, not just the Jat community but all 36 communities from Bijwasan to Narela have resolved to reject him.
Sehrawat mentioned that Kejriwal, frustrated by the looming defeat, oscillates between inciting religious discord by highlighting temple demolitions, alarming slum residents about the potential demolition of their homes, and instigating the Purvanchali community.
Kejriwal’s attempts to mislead the Jat community regarding caste reservations are failing.
He further stated that during his ten-year tenure, Kejriwal has shown little concern for the Jat community.
Former Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot revealed that whenever he brought up issues concerning the welfare of the Jat community over the last decade, Kejriwal would downplay and disregard them.
