This surge highlights the lottery's widespread appeal among various income groups in the state. As of January 21, a staggering 5.17 million tickets had been sold, surpassing last year's total of 4.76 million and establishing a new record for this festive draw.
The excitement is primarily driven by the bumper's enticing Rs 20-crore grand prize, which has rekindled enthusiasm among ticket buyers as the draw date approaches.
With several days remaining until the draw, ticket sales have been brisk across the state, leading the Lottery Department to release an additional 500,000 tickets into circulation.
For this edition, a total of 5.5 million tickets were printed, reflecting the immense interest from the public.
