Patna March 10 (NationPress) Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor launched a fierce critique against Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav, asserting that both figures are culpable for what he described as the “Jungle Raj” prevalent in Bihar.
While addressing reporters in Darbhanga, Kishor claimed that lawlessness persists in Bihar, albeit in a different guise. “In the era of Lalu Prasad, it was criminals who executed the jungle raj. Now, under Nitish Kumar, bureaucrats are in control of the jungle raj. Previously, criminals plundered at night; today, officials are robbing citizens in broad daylight with their pens,” Kishor remarked.
Known for his adept political strategies, Prashant Kishor has spent the last two years actively visiting villages in Bihar, working to forge connections with the populace as he gears up to contest the upcoming 2025 elections.
His statements reflect a move towards more combative politics, positioning Jan Suraaj as a viable alternative to both the RJD and JD(U). Kishor's comments come amid mounting criticism of Nitish Kumar’s administration, especially concerning bureaucratic inefficiencies and corruption.
He emphasized that the citizens of Bihar have endured hardships under both regimes and are now in search of a new political alternative.
Drawing a comparison between the current governance and Lalu’s regime, Kishor noted: “In the past, criminals acted without fear under Lalu’s leadership. Currently, officials operate with the same disregard under Nitish Kumar.”
Kishor accused both the RJD and JD(U) of exploiting the people of Bihar without delivering substantial development. He forecasted a political transformation, asserting: “Regardless of the circumstances, Nitish Kumar will not return as Chief Minister.”
Kishor asserted that Bihar is on the brink of change, and the leader spearheading that change will emerge following the elections in six months. With the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections looming, such criticisms could sway voter sentiment and reshape the electoral landscape.
Despite his party's poor performance in the recent Bihar by-elections for four seats, including Belaganj, Imamganj, Tarari, and Ramgarh, Prashant Kishor is striving to establish himself as a pivotal figure in Bihar’s changing political scene.
