Patna, June 21 (NationPress) The chief of Jan Suraaj, Prashant Kishor, criticized Nitish Kumar on Saturday, asserting that the increase in the Social Security Pension Scheme was a result of "public pressure" instigated by Jan Suraaj’s campaign.
Kishor also challenged prominent leaders like Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, accusing them of engaging in dynastic politics and corruption.
He congratulated the elderly, widows, and disabled individuals of Bihar regarding the government's decision to raise the pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1100, while also claiming credit for this change.
"It is the voice of Jan Suraaj that compelled the government to respond. For over two and a half years, we have been advocating for this issue. Once Jan Suraaj is in power come November, we will elevate the pension to Rs 2000 per month," he stated during a press conference in Vaishali.
He emphasized that democracy is thriving due to the availability of alternatives for the populace.
"Previously, political bondage existed in Bihar due to limited options. However, with Jan Suraaj, that is transforming," he noted.
Prashant Kishor also made pointed accusations against BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, alleging corruption and nepotism.
"Jaiswal was once a college clerk. He should clarify how he became its owner. Furthermore, he needs to disclose how many children of political leaders have earned MBBS degrees from that college in the last two decades," Kishor claimed.
Kishor challenged Jaiswal to verify his assertions about Jan Suraaj's online operations through cyber experts, ridiculing the BJP leader for not distinguishing between a Facebook page and a group.
Taking a jab at Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Lalu Prasad Yadav, he accused them of pursuing political agendas not for their communities but for their families.
"If Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi genuinely care about their communities, I challenge them to appoint a competent leader from their caste, outside their family, to lead their party," Kishor dared.
"Lalu Yadav's focus is not on the Yadav community; he's solely concerned with making Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister," he added.
